TENDER-MERCIES
Why does our
      merciful God
Compare
      His loving care
To that of
      a nursing mother?

And where does 
      a mother learn
Her caring concern
      that guards
      and protects
Her little ones with love?
All tender-mercies
      come from above.

The Heavenly Father,
      Our Source 
      of all we are, 
And all our happinesses,
Constantly loves and protects
      as He embraces us.
Dare we, in turn,
      care for our children
Any less?
