SIMPLE REQUEST

God, I don't believe
You promised
  instant deliverance from
  every inconvenience by
  simply dictating
  our wishes
  one by one
to You.
A tremor disquiets my spirit
  and I wonder
  when I read in Psalms:
  "He gave them
  their request;
  but sent
  leanness
  into their soul."
If anytime
  Your desires and mine
  happen not to coincide–
Give me Your will, God!
And fatness for my soul.
