LOOKUP
Dear God,
You give us all good things,
You are sovereign Lord of all creation.
When our world's
troubling happenings
Set us reeling
And leave us gasping,
We look to You, God of all Comfort.
You see us bowed and weeping, often
Grasping at fleeting tokens of relief
As we wait for Jesus to come again.
Dear God, You promised
All things would be made new.
Dear Christ, our hopes will be
Fulfilled in You.
Lord, Help our unbelief!
You said,
"Look up! For your redemption
Is drawing near."
You said,
"Let not your hearts be troubled."
"Do not fear!"
The groaning universe waits
And strains to see
Our coming redemption's reality.
We raise our heads and
Shout with certainty:
Look up! Look up!
Our Glorious Redemption,
Thank God, is very near!

25 "And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon
and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations,
with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.26 Men's hearts
will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things
which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven
shall be shaken.27 And then shall they see the Son of Man
coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass,
then look up and lift up your heads,
for your redemption draweth nigh."
